Dear creepy comrades,
Her full name is Parthenia Mary Ann Goste. She is of Welsh descent. She haunts my lovely lighthouse by the sea nestled on Point Wilson in a Victorian sea port named Port Townsend. Parthenia drowned in 1921 with the sinking of the passenger ship the S. S. Governor traveling inbound from San Francisco to Seattle. It collided with the freighter S.S. Hartland taking to the sea eight souls. She was from a family of means in New Orleans, her father having amassed a small fortune in the dry goods business, and was laid t’rest in Chasings Cemetery overlooking Lizards Point. Parthenia was buried with her favorite porcelain doll, christened Paje (Parthenia’s nickname in real life). It was an eerie accessory in that it was fashioned by local artist Gabriel Whent t’mirror her exactly.
